A Practical Introduction to Tarot
Download Free Guide Free GuideAbout the Guide
Most people come to tarot looking for answers. This guide will give you something better: a practical method for seeing your own situation more clearly — without memorizing a library of meanings first.
It covers all 22 Major Arcana cards, five spreads that work for real decisions, and a way of approaching readings that trusts your instincts over a keyword list. You don't need experience. You just need a willingness to look honestly at what the cards reflect back.
39 pages. Written plainly. Free.
What's Inside
Every card from The Fool to The World — what it means, what it's really asking, and the gut-check question that makes it land in a real reading.
Layouts for decisions, relationships, stalled situations, and what to do next. Clear diagrams, no experience required.
How to read without memorizing anything. The card is a prompt — your honest reaction to it is the actual reading. That's the whole method.
I've never thought of these as fortune-telling. They're more like asking someone to hold a mirror while you work out what you actually think.
— Isla Hart
The Author
Isla Hart has been reading tarot for over a decade — not as a fortune-teller, but as someone who finds these tools genuinely useful for thinking clearly about complicated situations.
She started Ephemeris Thread to make tarot, astrology, and the Mayan calendar accessible to people who want practical tools, not mysticism. Everything on the site is free because that's how she wanted it to be.
This guide is the thing she wished had existed when she first picked up a deck.
